1. Acceptance of Terms
By using our website, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using our services. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice, and it is your responsibility to review them regularly.
2. Service Overview
One Handy Man provides a platform for booking handyman services for both business and residential needs. The service allows users to purchase time slots for appointments. By purchasing a time slot, you are reserving the handyman’s time but not yet paying for any materials or supplies needed to complete the job. Required supplies/materials may be provided by the customer or payment for these items will be due after services are completed.
3. Booking and Payments
Time Slot Purchase: You are purchasing one hour or half-hour of service through our online platform to secure your appointment. Each time slot represents one hour of service. If additional time is required for your job, additional charges may apply and will be discussed during the appointment.
Notice Requirement: We require a minimum of one hour's notice before all appointments. Appointments requested with less than one hour's notice may not be honored, but we'll do our best.
Materials: The price you pay on the website covers only the booking of the handyman's time. Customers are responsible for supplying all necessary materials for the job or purchasing them separately. If materials are needed, you may either provide them directly or request that the handyman purchases them on your behalf, with material costs billed separately.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Cancellations: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees. Failure to cancel within this window may result in a fee equivalent to one hour of service.
Rescheduling: You may reschedule your appointment at no additional charge if done at least 24 hours in advance. Rescheduling requests within 24 hours of the appointment are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
5. Customer Responsibilities
Access to Premises: Customers are responsible for ensuring that the handyman has safe and proper access to the worksite. If the handyman is unable to access the site upon arrival, the appointment will be considered a cancellation, and a cancellation fee may apply.
Materials and Tools: As stated, customers are responsible for supplying any necessary materials. Failure to provide the required materials may result in an incomplete job, for which One Handy Man is not responsible. If specialized tools are needed, please indicate this during booking.
6. Service Limitations
While we strive to provide high-quality service, certain jobs may be beyond the scope of our standard handyman services. If this is the case, the handyman will inform you during the appointment. We reserve the right to refuse service for any job deemed unsafe or unsuitable.
7. Liability
One Handy Man will not be held liable for any damages, injuries, or losses incurred during or as a result of our handyman services, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct. Customers are responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for both the handyman and any third parties present at the time of service.
8. Warranty Disclaimer
We do not provide any explicit or implied warranties regarding the quality of the materials supplied by the customer or purchased on behalf of the customer. We will make reasonable efforts to ensure that all work performed meets the expected standards of quality, but due to the nature of handy-work we cannot guarantee specific results.
9. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which the service is provided. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or our services shall be resolved in the applicable state or federal courts.
